USER README

 

Preface: The much sought after total conversion mod for MVP Baseball 2005 has been released for the 2008 baseball season.  This mod is a free upgrade for the PC version of the game.  Here are some of the major features that have been included (apart from many other modifications): 

• Up-to-date rosters (MLB to single-A) by kgbaseball
• Well over 400 uniforms

• Accurate uniforms for each team from MLB to single-A by thespungo, redsox, bigbully, and homer

• Concept uniforms for every major league team by redsox

• 2008 MLB stadiums by cubs720, rolie, and others
• Limited team themes by thespungo and redsox
• Updated 2008 cyberfaces by thr33niL, homer, zach, and TheMadcap
• Up-to-date audio by hory and homer
• Updated LOC files by redsox

  MVP 08 Mod Requirements: 

·         MVP Baseball 2005 original CDs or CD images

·         Total installer Thingy v 2.0.3 or better installed  

 

Installation: Just select the mod using Total installer Thingy (TiT) v2.0.3 (or better).  If you have multiple installs of the game and you want this to be a separate add-on as well, then create a new folder inside the EA Sports folder (name it whatever you want) and copy the TiT.exe into that folder.  Once done, just select the 08 mod using TiT and just follow the on-screen instructions.  While installing the mod you will be asked to insert the original CDs.  Please note that CD images WILL WORK.  During the installation (toward the end) a program will pop up and ask you to select your favorite team, if you have none select NONE. A 2nd and final program will pop open and ask you to select you MVP baseball profile file (normally in a sub folder in your My Documents folder) this will make you save files compatible with MVP 08

 

Starting a new franchise: If you want to start a new franchise in year 2008, follow these steps:

1. Start game
2. Choose franchise mode
3. Alt+Tab out of the game and go to the extras folder inside your main MVP Baseball folder
4. Double click on tywiggins’ calendar update to update the season to year 2008
5. Alt+Tab back into the game and continue with your franchise

  Updating an already started franchise: If you want to update an already started franchise to be compatible with MVP 08, follow these steps:

1. Start game
2. Load your franchise
3. Alt+Tab out of the game and go to the extras folder inside your main MVP Baseball folder
4. Double click on tywiggins’ face update to update your franchise to be compatible with MVP 08
5. Alt+Tab back into the game and continue with your franchise
